The National Aboriginal Hockey Championships are coming to Kamloops, BC from May 4-11, 2025, and we need your help to make this incredible event a success!
Volunteers are the heart of every tournament, and we’re looking for dedicated individuals to join our team in various roles. This is your chance to support the athletes, connect with the community, and be part of an exciting national event.
Volunteer Roles Available
We have a variety of positions to suit your interests and skills:
Welcome & Information: Greet guests, answer questions, and help attendees find their way.
Security: Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Merchandise Sales: Assist fans with purchasing tournament memorabilia.
Penalty Box Door Openers: Be rinkside to keep the game running smoothly.
Music: Help set the tone and atmosphere with great tunes during the games.
50/50 Sales: Support fundraising efforts by selling raffle tickets.
Team Ambassadors/Hosts: Be the go-to person for a team, assisting them with any questions or needs throughout the tournament.

Chefs in the City
TRU Campus Conference Centre
Chefs in the City is a celebration of the culinary arts, fine wine and beer from Kamloops and the surrounding region. Guests enjoy beverages, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts as they mingle with professional chefs, restaurant owners, caterers, vintners, brewers, and friends. There will be local restaurants and caterers participating, along with local wineries and breweries. Your ticket to this event pays for all food and beverages, an amazing value that also helps good causes in your community.

With your help, Kamloops Rotary Club has raised more than $400,000 in the past years to fund community programs for youth in need, primarily focusing on social support and proper nutrition for underprivileged children in Kamloops. Through this event, you have also supported Kamloops Food Bank, TRU Bursaries, Christopher Seguin Rotary Family Dinners, Wildfire Recovery Fund, as well as projects providing clean water and education in less fortunate parts of the world.

Welcome to the Terry Fox Ride of Hope, Kamloops gravel ride.
Join us for a spectacular tour through the mountains of Kamloops, Barrier, and Sun Peaks as we ride to raise fund for the Terry Fox Foundation. As a group we raised just over $17,000 last year, and we have made it our goal to surpass this in 2025 and reach the $20,000 mark.
Get ready for a day of spectacular views, great company, and some of the most scenic gravel roads in Interior BC. Route TBD.

Both training sessions run for 8 weeks. The start location for each session will be announced soon.
RUNClub has always been about running and walking but is really so much more. We LOVE running/walking and moving around outdoors. Now, one of Kamloops’ signature events, the “sea of red” is a visual representation of the passion, commitment and love that began this grass roots event and that continues to ground it to this day. Raise a Reader: 14th Annual Adult Spelling Bee

Adult Team Spelling Challenge
Our Spelling Bee fundraiser is the kick off event for our Raise a Reader campaign. Teams of 8 work together to spell 15 words. This event is an opportunity for local organizations, businesses and community members to support literacy work in Kamloops. It is all about teamwork, community building, and a little friendly competition. The first Spelling Bee took place in 2012. The registration fee is $1000 for a table of 8 or $125 person. A charitable tax receipt is issued for the charitable portion.
