Katzberg, McIntosh named flag-bearers for Canada at Olympics closing ceremony

Swimming phenom Summer McIntosh and hammer throw champion Ethan Katzberg of the Kamloops Track and Field Club will be Canada’s flag-bearers for the closing ceremonies at the Paris Olympics.

Seventeen-year-old McIntosh from Toronto is the country’s first triple gold-medallist. She also won a silver at the Games and set two Olympic records in the pool.

Katzberg of Nanaimo claimed gold in men’s hammer throw by 4.15 metres — the largest margin of victory in men’s hammer throw since Antwerp 1920.
