Last evacuation order in Ross Moore Lake Wildfire rescinded to alert

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson Nicola Regional District (TNRD) has downgraded an evacuation order within a portion of the Ross Moore Lake Wildfire to an evacuation alert.

As of 11 a.m. on Saturday (September 2), the TNRD says an evacuation alert remains in place Electoral Area “J” (Copper Desert Country), Electoral Area “L” (Grasslands) and Electoral Area “M”(Beautiful Nicola Valley-North).

The district says 351 addressed properties were currently on alert, and 3 addressed properties have been downgraded from an order and added to create the expanded alert boundary.
