Canadian Armed Forces aircraft set to flyby over Nicola Valley First Nations in War Memorial Ceremony

KAMLOOPS — On Sunday morning (May 28), the Canadian Armed Forces will conduct a flyby over the Nicola Valley as part of the First Nations Veterans Associations War Memorial ribbon cutting event.
In a news release, a CT-155 Hawk aircraft from 419 Tactical Fighter (Training) Squadron will be flying over 2152 Neale Road in Merritt, B.C. beginning from the north-west and down to the south-east. The aircraft will fly no lower than 500 feet above the highest obstacle over ground level.
The Royal Canadian Air Force says flybys are “thoroughly planned and closely controlled to ensure public safety at all times,”
The aircraft is set to fly over Merritt on Sunday at 11:11 a.m.
