Blazers fans repping Memorial Cup merch
KAMLOOPS – For many, commemorative merchandise is proof you were there. For others, it’s a symbol of support.
It’s only the first game day and Memorial Cup swag has been flying off the shelves.
This year represents Doyle Corporate Images’ second Memorial Cup contract.
Set up outside the Sandman Centre, this New Brunswick-based business is the sole supplier of Memorial Cup licenced merch.
Despite their east coast origins, the owner says Kamloops already feels like home.
“It’s great to meet lots of new people and everyone really friendly, it’s kinda like back home,” Darcy Doyle, co-owner of Doyle Corporate Images told CFJC News. “We are from a small town with probably the same population as Kamloops so it feels a lot like back home.”
According to Doyle, T-shirts with all four teams have been very popular, but when it comes to representing a team, Blazers fans have been particularly supportive.
The Memorial Cup swag tent will be open all tournament outside the Sandman Centre.
