School District 73 launches staff survey on COVID-19 vaccination policy
KAMLOOPS — School District 73 is asking its staff to weigh in on a potential COVID-19 vaccination policy.
The district’s Board of Education voted on October 25 to create a committee to come up with direction on such a policy, including information on case rates and vaccination rates.
In a news release, Supt. Rhonda Nixon says that will begin with a survey of the 2,000 people employed by the district.
CFJC Today first reported on the survey on Monday. It was finalized Friday (Nov. 5) and sent to staff.
“The survey is a vital part of the planning process, and it has been designed to minimize the collection of identifiable personal information,” said Nixon. “The information that is collected through the survey will be used for the purposes of informing the board about employees’ stances on a vaccination policy.”
The employees have one week, until November 12, to complete the survey. The district says all responses will be kept anonymous, with results shared only as aggregated data.
