Seymour Arm evacuation expanded

SEYMOUR ARM, B.C. — An evacuation order affecting a portion of the Shuswap community of Seymour Arm has been expanded.
It’s due to the nearby Hunakwa Lake fire, now measured at 1,100 hectares and threatening Seymour Arm.
The Shuswap Emergency Program has expanded an evacuation order put in place Wednesday evening (July 22) to include several additional properties, as outlined below:
- All properties within the community of Seymour Arm east and south of Seymour Arm Bay Road
- Seymour River Road including Tipman Road, Bradley Road and all boat-in only properties in the vicinity of Tranquility Bay
- Excluding 1142, 1158, 1306 Seymour Arm Bay Road
- Properties in the red area in the map below:
