Kamloops Sports Council and NorthPaws 50/50 draw aims to fund local teams’ return to play

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Sports Council and Kamloops NorthPaws baseball team are hosting a 50/50 raffle draw to help local sport organizations resume play amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The NorthPaws were to host a 50/50 raffle at each of their home games this season to raise money for the local organizations, but it has now shifted online after the 2021 West Coast League season was derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Organizations that will benefit from the funding include:
- Kamloops Broncos Football Club
- Kamloops Community Football Society
- Kamloops Long Blades Association
- Kamloops and District Minor Baseball Association
- Kamloops Minor Hockey
- Kamloops Minor Lacrosse Association
- Kamloops Skating Club
- Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association
- Kamloops Youth Soccer Association
- Kamloops Special Olympics
- Kamloops Tennis Club
- McArthur Island Lawn Bowling Club
- Overlander Ski Club
There are 60,000 total tickets for sale. Tickets are sold in packs: two for $10, five for $20, 15 for $50, and 50 for $100.
Sale deadline is Wednesday, Aug. 4 at 3:00 p.m., with the draw taking place an hour later at 4:00 p.m.
