KAMLOOPS — Many people destroy vehicles on the job, but few are encouraged to do it just right.
Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) personnel are some of the lucky few. They have to destroy vehicles in order to practice the proper extrication techniques so when they respond to an emergency, they can act quickly and decisively.
As part of a training exercise Thursday morning (Mar. 18), KFR personnel opened up a Ford Focus like a can of sardines in order to ‘save’ a dummy positioned inside.
