Upper Bench Winery & Creamery – Merlot Cabernet Franc (July 9)

Linda from the Sahali Liquor Store introduced us to a beautiful red blend from Upper Bench Winery & Creamery (yes, they do cheese too) along the Naramata Bench.  The Merlot Cabernet Franc is a great everyday red with excellent value. It is packed full of flavour but is also very mellow and well-balanced. Great as a sipping wine, to enjoy with a cheese plate, or to pair with your meal. On the nose, it displays cherry, nutmeg, clove, cedar, cinnamon, blackberry, blueberry, blackcurrant and on the palate is black cherry, baking spices, cigar box, plum, red berries.  This wine would pair wonderfully with Summer BBQ’s!
