Al Deacon from the Sahali Liquor Store subbing in for Linda today for Test A Wine Tuesday, and Al brought in a Gamay from the Rust Wine Company in Oliver. A ripe, yet fresh style with intense aromas and flavours of white pepper, Bing cherry, smoky chipotle and classic Similkameen earthiness. A very versatile food wine that could work well with Pacific salmon, spice driven cuisine, or an array of charcuterie. Can even picture it as the perfect compliment to BBQ’d ribs!
